The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce Master's student in Optics Hao Zeng as a recipient of the 2026 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. Zeng graduated this June and continued on as a PhD student at NYU Shanghai. He describes the award “encourages me to continue working hard and pursue new scientific discoveries with renewed energy and focus..”

The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce Master’s student in Psychology Zixin Ye as a recipient of the 2026 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. For Ye, the award recognizes her past efforts while motivating her to continue pursuing meaningful research.

The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce PhD student in Ecology Hongping Sun as a recipient of the 2026 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. For Sun, the award recognition, “motivates me to continue developing innovative research and using science to address real-world challenges.”

The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce PhD student in Statistics Hang Yuan as a recipient of the 2026 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. For Yuan, the recognition serves as both recognition of his past accomplishments and motivation for future discoveries.

The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce PhD student in Neuroscience Xinjing Li as a recipient of the 2026 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. According to Li, “The award provides both recognition and support for the next phase of my work."

The Research Excellence Award honors students who have made outstanding achievements in scientific research, while the Community Impact Award recognizes and encourages students’ contributions to the development of the N.E.T. Program and the broader N.E.T. community.

The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to name PhD candidate in Neuroscience Yuhan Lu as a recipient of the 2025 N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. Lu graduated this June with a PhD in Neuroscience from ECNU School of Psychology and Cognitive Science and continued on as a Postdoc fellow at NYU Shanghai. He describes the award is “high praise from our research community.”
