The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce Master’s student in Sociology Minghao Tang as this year’s recipient of the third annual N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. For Tang, the N.E.T. Award represents a “great motivation to me and provides a spiritual encouragement that will also help me practically as an investment in my future career.”
The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce PhD candidate Caoyuan Niu as this year’s recipient of the N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. “I’m very proud about this, Niu comments, “Getting a commendation for your project demonstrates that your work is doing well, and the N.E.T. Award application process and presentation helped me to hone my project and improve my presentation skills in English.”
The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce PhD candidate in Optics Yuping Mao as this year’s recipient of the third annual N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. For Mao, the N.E.T. Award represents “an important recognition of my work, and I will use the funds to attend seminars, purchase learning resources, and for transportation costs for exchanges and collaborations.”
The Research Excellence Award honors students who have made outstanding achievements in scientific research, while the Community Impact Award recognizes and encourages students’ contributions to the development of the N.E.T. Program and the broader N.E.T. community.
We are organizing a N.E.T. Summer Camp on August 29--30, 2024 for prospective Ph.D. students. The Camp establishes a platform for academic and scientific exchange, and gives participants a taste of Ph.D. research studies.
We are pleased to announce the open call for applications to the third annual N.E.T. Student Awards Program.
On August 27, 2023, the inaugural N.E.T. Summer Camp, lasting one and a half days, concluded successfully at NYU Shanghai. The event was organized by the NYU Shanghai-ECNU Joint Graduate Training Program (N.E.T.) Office for students interested in pursuing a full-time doctoral degree and demonstrating research aptitude in related fields.
The N.E.T. community is honored to announce two ECNU master’s students, Xiaodan Zheng and Jiayu He as this year’s respective winners of the Research Excellence Award and Community Impact Award. Both recipients commented on the encouragement and affirmation that receiving the award provided felt and look forward to a bright future in their research careers.
The N.E.T. Program Award Committee is honored to announce ECNU PhD candidate Mingyang Xie as this year’s recipient of the new N.E.T. Award for Academic Excellence. According to Xie, the N.E.T. Award “will help to bring my research to more people and help me to obtain more resources for my work.”
