Program Overview
NYU Shanghai, in collaboration with ECNU‘s School of Data Science and Engineering, welcomes applications from outstanding students for doctoral study in Data Science and Engineering. Within the standard duration of studies (4-year Ph.D.), students are required to complete their coursework at ECNU, undertake their doctoral research under the supervision of NYU Shanghai faculty, and pass through the dissertation defense. NYU Shanghai data science and engineering faculty work on topics related to Recommender System, Personalization in Education and Health, Graph machine learning, Foundation model, Large language model, Multimodal learning, Bioinformatics and healthcare, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI for Science, Optimization, Human-centered AI, as well as the Mathematics of Statistics and Data Science.
